If you are interested in starting a self practice at home then you may like to have one to one Yoga sessions. This is the way Yoga was traditionally taught. Together we can set a practice that will be just for you and work towards what you want to achieve from your practice. This can be anything from relaxation, to creating energy, to strengthening your back, or working towards specific postures.
To begin we meet for 30 minutes and discuss what you want to achieve from Yoga and I can answer any questions that you have. This is free of charge and gives you a chance to find out a bit more before you choose to start individual sessions.
In the first hour session I will guide you through a Yoga practice, making sure you are happy with it and answering any questions. Typically this practice will be for daily use, between 15 and 45 minutes long, whatever is most suitable for you and your needs. I will write out the plan with simple stick man diagrams and you can take it away to practice at home.
On the second meeting we can see how the practice has been going. I may make a few changes to the practice or change it completely depending on what you need.
Further meetings will be the same as the second and by working together we can continue to make sure you are getting the most out of your self practice.
How often you practice and your own experience will determine how often we should meet. If you are new to yoga then the second meeting should be maybe a week or two after the first. If you are more experienced then you may want to meet every 3-6 weeks to review the practice. We can discuss what will be most suitable for you in our initial meeting.
The location of the teaching will either be my home or Body Balance, which are both central Stourbridge.
