aYs/Sadhana Mala Introductory Workshop with Siobhan - COMPLETED - Please enquire for future dates

 

This course is designed for those who wish to deepen their study of Yoga that has evolved from the work of T Krishnamacharya, TKV Desikachar and his students Paul Harvey and Peter Hersnack. The course will be a mixture of practice, workshops and theory over four weekend mornings, giving background material and a structure which is developed further within the Foundation course if you wish to continue your studies.

Aim: We hope your enthusiasm, understanding and practice will be deepened by developing your knowledge and experience on this course.

  • Practice planning: WHAT constitutes a rounded practice and how can you devie one to suit your needs?
  • Breathing Techniques & Meditation: WHY are they important and how can we integrate them into our asana practice?
  • Yoga Philosophy: HOW can the widom of ancient eastern texts help us practice yoga and live better in the modern western world of today?

Course Dates: October 8th and 9th, November 5th and 6th 2011.

9.30 am - 1.00 pm each day.

Venue: The Bonded Warehouse, Stourbridge

Award: aYs Introductory Course Certificate

 

Pre-requisites: Regular attendance in a class from any tradition for 1 year or individual tuition with a viniyoga or equivalent tutor.

 

Course Costs: £100 (this includes a years membership of the aYs (£15) and course registration fee (£5).

 

Deposit of £50 payable to book a place, the remaining £50 payable on first day.
